Seminar: "The relationship Mexico-UK and the end of the cold war"

The Centre for Latin American Studies, St Catharine's College and the Cambridge University Mexican Society are happy to announce that the Mexican Ambassador in the United Kingdom, H.E. Juan Jose Bremer de Martino will be in the University of Cambridge.

With his long trajectory as ambassador, Juan Jose Bremer will talk about his thoughts and experiences during the last decades, when as a member of the Mexican Diplomacy, he was witness of key issues in recent history.

He will talk about his current work as ambassador of Mexico to the UK and his analysis as witness of the collapse of the Soviet Union, the fall of Berlin's Wall and the German reunification, the evolution of the European Union and the recent war on terror after the 11/9. Other important topics are the EU-USA relationships and the new order in the globalized world with all the challenges that this new arrangement implies.

The talk will be given in English, questions both in English and Spanish.
