In many ways, the 2000-1 season was a successful one for the Men's Team.
Under coach Dr Richard White and captain Huw Vater, the team trounced
Oxford to secure their first ever hat-trick of Varsity Match victories, and
qualified for both EVA and BUSA Finals in the same season for the first
time. However the Blues were dogged by injuries to key players which
prevented them from fielding their best team at the major tournaments, and
ended up recording disappointing finishes. Most of the current squad will
be staying on next season, however, and will have the opportunity to banish
any feelings of underachievement...
