A camp for creation and fun!
Cambridge University Invelopers Society aims to provide knowledge and communication support for students at Cambridge University who are interested in scientific innovation. The society currently has over 300 members, mainly professors, PhDs and postgraduates of University of Cambridge. CUIS has organized the prestigious International Nano-micro Innovation contests during the past 3 years in the UK.
To spread and popularize the concept of everyone is an inventor , CUIS will give the public access to our faculty and scientific technology resources, and invite 16 Chinese students in the UK (age 16 and above with basic GCSE knowledge background) to attend our Science & Innovation course under the guidance of processors and PhDs at University of Cambridge on June 20-28, 2017.
1. To enjoy the historic and tranquil Cambridge campus while experiencing Cambridges unique independent learning approach and lessons taught by leading professors and CUIS members. The lessons include the introduction about sensor systems, software, hard ware and typical cases. Finally, the participants will be guided to transform their creative ideas into real products and produce them with 3D printing.
2. To study the innovative concepts combining scientific technology with arts and the modelling practice of 3D printer.
3. To develop presenting skills, teamwork spirits, communication skills and leadership skills via well designed group activities, enjoy face-to-face interaction with leading Cambridge professors. The outstanding students will have the potential opportunity to receive a commendation letter from Cambridge professors.
4. Certificate from Cambridge University Invelopers Society will be awarded to all participants, which will bring great enhancement to their future university application. The excellent works will be recommended to compete in iCAN contest (International Nano-Micro Innovation Contest) at University of Cambridge.
