How to play Go

Here we present a written version of the Go introductory lecture given by Charles at the first CUGOS meeting of each University year. It will teach a complete beginner everything necessary to play a few games of 9x9 go.

An addendum is also provided which covers the rules of ko and seki along with some further recommended reading for beginning go players.
