Purpose
Moving to a new place can be exciting, but some answers can be elusive and little things can get you stressed out. Knowing that someone is there to help is always a bonus.
The International Student Welcome (ISW) is intended to provide friendship and support for students arriving at Cambridge University. It is organised by friendly students who know Cambridge well and who are willing to solve those important little (and big) questions with answers that aren't always easy to find on your own.
As a part of ISW activities for the year 2011, ISW volunteers will meet you at Cambridge's bus station from 22nd September 2011 to 2nd October 2011 and at Cambridge railway station every day from 26th September 2011 to 2nd October 2011. The volunteers will help you to locate your college. Just give them your name if you would like us to put you in touch with other students in your college who would be happy to welcome you, and to offer any help you might require.
We have also organized a number of afternoon and evening events (Check our events page for details) where you can meet both freshers like you as well as senior students. This is a great opportunity to make friends as well as to explore the Univeristy and its college life before you settle down for the term.
We look forward to meeting you!
